Not looking good for me beating this game. I might have gotten filtered by a shovel. (It also took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that the instructions as to where the artifacts were was in my inventory.

Weird to end your game with a way, way easier boss fight than the one from the chapter before (against the same guy!)
I disliked Doom: The Dark Ages. The game put way too much of a priority on parrying, and the encounter design was lacking, making very few of the encounters actually stand out. The plot would have been better off cut, along with the turret, mech, and dragon sections. It gets even farther away from what made Doom and Doom 2 good.
The name drop of some random guy I suspect Im supposed to remember from either 2016 or Eternal is funny though.")

This just completely does not succeed at making encounters feel different from each other. Being able to do the shield dash has a way of flattening all the playing fields, and being able to parry everything makes all the enemy types more or less feel the same.")
