I bought and review a Quad Lock phone mount and case (see link below for 10% discount!) for my Samsung Galaxy S8. Buy the case, use any of Quad Locks mounts.
I specifically wanted to see if the mount was in view when recording video. I have a Dragy performance meter box and wanted something solid and out of view for filming performance measure runs.
I was sceptical on if the mount would be able to adjusted and out of view but there was just enough movement in the ball joint to do it. Needing to have the phone attached with the camera on made it tricky to adjust and lock the ball joint but once set, it was great.
The mount itself is solid as a rock. The mechanism for the suction cup took two hands to secure in place where I had placed it.
All in all, the mount is solid. If you want a phone mount that won't move, this is it. You can buy a wireless charging kit as an extra if your phone allows for this.
