Barb and Cynthia spent a day out in Nisku, Alberta, meeting Tanis Simpson, owner/operator of Qiviut Inc. Tanis, along with Robbie and several family members, make Qiviut fibre. Qiviut is the soft downy fibre from Arctic animals, in this case, the Canadian Arctic Musk Oxen or Umingmaq.

Come and join us, learn how Tanis and Robbie process the qiviut fibre into skeins of yarn or ready-made garments for you to purchase. Tanis also operates a boutique shop showcasing the work of indigenous artists. Quyanainni!
