In this Qing Wen, we focus on three words that can be roughly translated as "to show". Plus take a guess which one of our hosts shows their singing talent!

表示 (biǎoshì) - declare; express; represent
总统表示今年我们要增加观光客 (zǒngtǒng biǎoshì jīnnián wǒmen yào zēngjiā guānguāngkè) - The president declared that this year we're aiming at increasing the number of tourists.
气象局表示下周会下雨 (qìxiàngjú biǎoshì xiàzhōu huì xiàyǔ) - The weather bureau stated that it will rain next week.
我对大家的帮助表示感谢 (wǒ duì dàjiā de bāngzhù biǎoshì gǎnxiè) - I expressed my gratitude for everyone's help.

红色表示热情 (hóngsè biǎoshì rèqíng) - Red represents passion.

温度计可以显示出气温变化 (wēndùjì kěyǐ xiǎnshì chū qìwēn biànhuà) - The thermometer can display changes in temperature.
调查结果显示证据不足 (diàochá jiéguǒ xiǎnshì zhèngjù bùzú) - The investigation report shows there's not enough evidence.
