Chris Saenz | Q&A: Have you ever tried a single color (family) #30inks30days ? @ChrisSaenz13 | Uploaded August 2021 | Updated October 2024, 9 hours ago.
In this video, I answer an interesting question from a pen friend. The question is: have you tried a single color (family) #30inks30days challenge?
This is my video answer to the question along with quite a few thoughts from my experience of doing this with both blue and red ink in the past. ADDITIONAL THOUGHT: I have to admit I enjoy a variety of colors BETTER for #30inks30days but the blue and red months were fun and helped me study several inks in the same color family which was really needed at the time!
My normal process is to use the same pen/nib because I always like to see how the inks compare with the same basic nib but most people would have a much better experience with this challenge if they use a different pen everyday to add variety.
Blue inks provided me with a more boring experience (probably due to less of a color range among the samples I was testing) but when I did red inks I ranged from pink, red, magenta and all thru the full spectrum/range of the color family so that really helped!!!!!
See Ink Journal's website and blog for more info about their awesome challenge and the ink flight subscriptions:
