In this video I unbox my new Lamy 2000 Broad nib fountain pen that I purchased this week with Christmas money -- I got a fantastic year end deal from Pen Chalet and they shipped lightening fast too. We look at the pen and the box ... although this is not a review at all.
I paused the video to clean the pen and ink it and then did a writing sample. This pen has a very nice smooth super broad nib that I can never say is not broad enough - it's almost a stub nib it's so nice and broad but I knew what to expect from a pen pals' letters using this same nib size and it's exactly what I wanted for letter writing! I'm super happy with the pen so far and have lots more to learn in terms of long term care and handling. But cleaning it was very easy as was filling it!!!!!
This video also includes a preview peek of what I expect will be my pen line up for January 2022. Just one more day to make final decisions about ink ... there may be changes but mostly I think the 8 I showed will be in the line up .... also I will be including the purple Opus 88 Halo and swapping the nib on that pen from M to one of my broader options.

1. Lamy 2000 Broad nib in black ordered by me from Pen Chalet - inked now with Pilot Iroshizuku - tsutsuji ink.
[Comparison for Lamy Broad nibs conducted with Lamy Al-Star Vibrant Pink edition B and Diamine Party Time shimmer ink ... which is amazingly similar to Pilot Tsutsuji in color.]
2. TWSBI Eco Jade B (going for DeAtramentis Mint Turquoise ink) - purchased with birthday gift certificate!
3. Sailor Compass - F/M in purple ordered with channel ad money - hoping to use a dark purple ink in this one
4. Montblanc 145 M - planning my favorite ink for this pen: Sailor Jentle Grenade
5. Platinum Century 3776 R/G Demo - B - ?
6. Opus 88 Demonstrator with 3.0 Platinum Parallel nib - will select a bright pink or magenta ink
7. Moonman Mini Wancai pink acrylic B Goulet nib - ? ink to be determined
8. Platinum Prefonte M Red - may use a blue cartridge
9. Opus 88 Halo in Purple - may use the stub nib unit not sure yet and ink will be purple. Probably will stay with Montblanc Psychedelic Purple.
