Putin's actions in the current international crisis over the war in Iran hae been interpreted in two ways: One is that he is a wimp, unable to act decisively, the other is that he is a master strategist, and that everything he does may lead to a win-win for all parties involved.
Dr. Brovkin is an American historian of Russia, now retired, a former Professor of Soviet History at Harvard University, he is the author of numerous books on Russian History and politics.
