In ths epidoe of the mini-series of German Invasion and Russian Victory I discuss the seige of Leningrad now Saint Petersburg durin the Great Fatherland war of 1941-1945. It was a tragedy because 800.000. people died of starvation, bombardments and cold during the seige, the vast majority in 1941-1942.
Dr.Brovkin is a Russian born American historian, now retired, served as an Associate Professor of Russian History at Harvard Univerity. He is the author of several books on Russian Soviet History.
