Hold onto your hats, folks—this one’s a wild ride (literally)!
On Saturday, November 15, Deputy First Class Yinger from our Southern Precinct was out keeping the roads safe when he stopped a truck for speeding on Emmorton Road in Bel Air. So far, so routine... until the driver decided to turn this traffic stop into a felony.
After a brief chat, the driver hit the gas and took off, because apparently, fleeing from the police is a terrible life choice some people still make. DFC Yinger and his fellow deputies sprang into action, pursuing the truck as it zipped into a storage facility (yes, with an access code- this guy came prepared). The driver then played a high-stakes game of hide-and-seek among the storage units before crashing.
But wait, there’s more! Before the crash, the driver tossed a bag onto the roof of one of the buildings. Deputies retrieved it and…surprise…inside was a loaded, stolen handgun. Not exactly the kind of rooftop treasure we like to find.
Thanks to DFC Yinger and the Southern Precinct midnight crew, this dangerous driver was arrested, and his not-so-secret stash is now off the streets. Great work, Deputies—you’ve earned your Badge Bravos!
