Governor Wes Moore promised that law enforcement would still be able to coordinate and communicate to keep violent criminals off our streets. But now, SB 791, the "Ultra Sanctuary State" bill is on his desk.
This dangerous legislation would effectively ban local law enforcement from even communicating with federal partners about criminal illegal immigrants in our communities. The Governor must keep his word, he must protect our families and VETO SB 791.
Maryland should be a place where public safety officials work together to keep all of us safe, not a sanctuary for those who break our laws.
