Thanks for all the positive feedback guys! This song won first place in the Original Composition Contest Round 6!
This song is a representation of my fears for cataclysmic weather events. While on the bus ride to school one day, we got stuck in traffic and suddenly the skies turned black. DARK black. And afterwards came purplish pinkish lightning, torrential downpours, and hail. Afterwards I got the idea to write this song, and then I finished it within a week.
Tempo is a solid 1236 throughout the whole song. The arrangement is made up of 43 parts and 32 unique parts.
Lyrics:
Here it approaches
The portentous storm
Skies turning black
Cerulean swarms
You may claim
to show no fear
Yet I know your true calling
is to kill us all right here.
Now as we stand before the gallows
Waiting for it to end
We stand tall; we face the facts
The lightning will descend
X2
CHORUS:
Awaiting mourn and mercy
Awaiting ambulance yeah
Awaiting mourn and mercy
Awaiting mourn
Awaiting mourn and mercy
Awaiting ambulance yeah
Awaiting mourn and mercy
Those in pain will wait to gain
Awaiting mourn
No matter how hard your cries
You will not be spared
For it always gets worse
Comes purple lightning and hail
Now as the gates of hell open up
While sparks flies from above
I stand alone praying for solace
Please show us some love!
X2
CHORUS
Someone help me
Im trapped in a jaundice cage
Leaking heavens
This is the work of a mage
I was born alone
Nothing in the morn
The only friends and peers
Cowering the gods above
Leaving me all alone
Electronic communication
Would not deserve attention
Attracting permanent detention
No friends; so no solace!
IMPOSSIBLE SOLO THAT IS BETTER THAN YOU
Here me out, o perilous storm!
So far away from the mundane and the norm
Your austere threats are very provocative
Hope no spirits will form!
But foreign means are quite unworthy
Its a storm like no other
Silently waiting up above
To kill and smother
Theres six of us and were not afraid
Were waiting to cheer
I just dont quite understand
When you could tremble here
SUPER CHORUS
Awaiting mourn
Its just the time Ive been awaiting
Mourn
