A case of alleged sexual abuse of a two-year-old girl has been reported from Takwe Budruk in Maharashtra’s Pune district.
Vadgaon Maval Police have arrested 51-year-old Balu Namdev Aswale in connection with the case. According to the police, the complaint was filed by the child’s mother and alleges that the incident took place at a milk dairy in the area on September 1.
The accused was produced before a Vadgaon court, which remanded him to police custody until September 8. Police have registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and are carrying out further investigation.
