Thought I make this video because nobody has done this yet. This is also my first time editing a video so I hope this turned out to be good! If it didn't well then... sorry... at least I tried :(
Any errors I made or Instant knockdowns/outs that I missed will be listed here:
EDIT 12/11/2021; hi so I wanted to make a small correction and say that Contender Joe actually has 2 instant knockdowns and 1 instant knockout. Apparently when you knock down Joe twice and go into R2 the next one will just knock him down and he will get up. You also cannot get hit for this trick to work. (I had this in my notes but for some reason forgot to include that part sorry).
I was originally going to combine Contender and Title Defense but I thought of splitting them into 2 parts instead. 30+ minute long videos would be annoying to upload for me. I'll get to work on Title Defense soon!

Both the Aran Ryan fights for practice mode have somewhat different strategies compared to their normal counterparts. Aran Ryan has 3 positions he can go into and skipping the cutscene right as hes about to shift into his next stance will cause his first attack to come out faster. Saving roughly 3 seconds.
TASing this fight (and Contender Aran) was a bit weird as they were the only 2 fights where I had to find the perfect frame to skip the cutscene on. Going too late will cause him to go into a full cycle again; therefore wasting more time, while going too early will cause his attack to come out a tiny bit later.
As for the strategy itself, its exactly the same as the IL strategy with the obvious difference that you cant use the first buffer at the beginning since you need to cutscene skip perfectly.
39.81 seems to be the perfect time I was able to get when TASing this fight months ago, which includes skipping the cutscene perfectly. I thought this would be easier than the Contender strategy but I personally found the cutscene skip + first attack to be even harder to do. It took 1 hour exactly compared to the 40 minutes I spent getting a 50.22 on Contender Practice mode.

Yeah I thought piston would be next because doing guard manipulation to throw gut punches was going to be a huge problem, and it technically was but it wasnt as terrible as I thought.
Took five perfect Phase 1s for Aran to let the 5/8 + 50/50 supers to go through. Despite me saying 3 in the video (idiot nolan)

uhhh... awkward....
So yeah I just got 0.01 off on this fight now. Literally have no clue as to where the frame was lost. 100% going to keep going though, especially since I havent done this fight in forever and the fact that I was able to get THAT close to the TAS already, makes me believe that I will have this one quicker than TD Macho, lets just hope nothing bad happens to the footage :)
24 Frame perfect inputs with 3 of them being mandatory, Phase 2 is probably the worst part since you have to deal with a 50/50 at the start to get the star and you have to deal with canceling 2 of his winks after. The first one you can kinda get a feel for but the 2nd one is always hopeless for me. This phase is really the only thing holding this IL back from being TAS tied in my opinion, once thats nailed. We will see a 34.03 (hopefully)")
