I was doing some spring cleanup yardwork, and cut out an overgrown Moonrose bush that was choking out a bunch of other trees. I cut the bush out and chipped it with my @harborfreight chipper, but needed to get the stump out. It wasn't anywhere that I could get my truck to try to pull it out (and I've seen enough fail videos to know not to do it anyway). To help with mechanical advantage, I enlisted The Cranebow, my gantry crane that I built a number of years ago. It worked like a charm, allowing me to get to the main root and ultimately cut it deep down. Blocking up the crane off the wheels could have given me even more countertraction, but it was a fine line of pulling hard, but not too hard (didn't want it to fail catastrophically while I was right next to it).
It's vertical video because I intended it to be a short, but forgot those are limited to 60 seconds. Maybe I'll re-edit later. Probably not.
No Sponsors. But I can be bought.
