Wake up Torq, you're late! Torq is a little toy car, and he's gotta get a move on if he want's to take part in the grand prix in the attic upstairs! Torq isn't any old toy car though, Torq is a pullback and release! Meaning you need to consider where you've parked has space to reverse (something I admittedly struggled with 😸) All in all I had a fun time with this Penny Racers inspired platformer.
This game is part of GMTK Game Jam 2024 under the theme of "Built to Scale" Torq being a small scale model car, scaling a large obstical course to reach the attic!
-Notes-
1: Apologies for the framerate in places, this was a test run and wasn't intended to be the final video, but I didn't get chance for another smoother run and felt the need to release this whilst voting for the games was still in progress. Maybe I'll return for those 200 coins later...
2: I've trimmed this down as I wasn't fantastic at this, figured you didn't need to see me fail the same jump multiple times (that clock specifically) 😸
3: you might notice cuts during the descent after the first jump pad, the camera didn't like being directly above Torq and inverted rapidly, so I've removed it for the sake of visual epilepsy.
