During cross-examination of forensic psychiatrist Dr. Gregory Saathoff, defense attorney Kevin Reddington read from the prosecution’s opening statement, which accused Clancy of manipulating her medical providers, seeking “quick fixes,” disengaging from treatments she did not like and ultimately making a deliberate choice that she “did not want to try anymore.”
Reddington then asked Saathoff whether he agreed with that characterization.
“I think that statement that you read really minimizes what she was going through,” Saathoff responded.
