With the recent updates to the Iron Banner Loot System, the new Multiplier plays a HUGE factor in the loot you get. So PLEASE, increase your multiplier by equipping an emblem, IB armor/weapons/ornaments, and completing the weekly challenges. Below is the formula for calculating rep and why it has a BIG impact on the amount of loot you get.
Iron Banner Reputation Multiplier Info
IB Rep Multiplier = [(1 + .5C) + (.4G)(1 + .5C)] x (1.5^E)
G = # of IB gear items equipped (values 0 thru 5)
C = # of IB challenges you have completed
E = toggle/check for equipping an Iron Banner Emblem (0 = no, 1 = yes)
Base Reputation is 18-20 for a Loss, 35-60 for a Win. Base values fluctuate based on your current rank and somewhat randomly. If someone knows any better, leave it in the comments.
Loot:
Every sub-rank you rank up Saladin, you get an engram (to freely decrypt or focus at Saladin). You get 16 per reset, so with 10,000 points being max rank, on average, you get an engram every 625 rep.
- IF you DO NOT increase your multiplier, at x1, it'll take you 18-32 Games to get a SINGLE ENGRAM (depends on if you win or lose).
- IF you MAX IT OUT, at x13.5, you'll get ~270 rep for a Loss and ~472-737 on a Win. That's a GUARANTEED ENGRAM, every 3 Losses or nearly EVERY WIN.
It's very important to increase your multiplier to get loot. If you hate using IB weapons or the look of the armor, then transmog over it, turn them into ornaments, or swap loadouts right before the match completes. At the very least, just play games on Arc/Void/Strand to do the challenges, equip an IB emblem, and throw on a heavy weapon and class item. That won't get in the way of how you play or your fashion and you'll GREATLY increase the amount of engrams you get.
