Sony and Jim Ryan announced today that the PlayStation 5 would be receiving a price increase worldwide in regions like Japan, Canada, Europe, the UK, Mexico, and pretty much anywhere else that isn't the United States. With as difficult as it has been for PS5 Fans to find a buy a console for the past 2 years after the PlayStation 5 Release Date, it is a major slap in the face to PS5 fans and customers for Sony to raise the price on this console when in reality the price of the PS5 should only be decreasing after launch. There really is no defense for this whatsoever and puts a lot of Sony's other recent decisions like $70 games, $10 patches, and many other anticonsumer practices in question. Meanwhile Microsoft has come out and announced that the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S would not be receiving any form of a price increase and Nintendo has made no indication to increase the price of the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, or Nintendo Switch OLED. Now we have ps5 fanboys trying to shift the shadow of blame on Nintendo for not increasing the price of the Nintendo Switch and Microsoft for being in a better financial situation stating it is unfair to hold playstation to the same standards as the rest of the video game industry. You really can't make this stuff up.
