My Doom: The Dark Ages Review/First Impressions (PS5/PS5 Pro/Xbox Series X & S/PC) & Why I am conflicted on the latest Game from Xbox & ID Software after my playthrough.

Doom (2016) & Doom Eternal are some of my favorite games ever made and when Doom The Dark Ages was announced I was obviously excited. ID Software has one of the best track records in gaming for making phenomenal first person shooter (FPS) games in the industry so I was excited to see where they took the Doom franchise next. However, Doom The Dark Ages is not at all like I was expecting it to be like as it dramatically departs from the formula established in the 2 prior games. This is not to say that "Doom The Dark Ages is bad", "Doom The Dark Ages is Trash', "Doom The Dark Ages Sucks", or that I am not enjoying my time with the game. Overall I think the core gameplay is pretty awesome, however it is not the DOOM game I was expecting or really that I wanted.
