This week the PS5 disc situation gets worse as PlayStation has now started putting disclaimer stickers on new disc consoles going to retail. And this is right after their financial report where they told reporters that the backlash isnt effecting them. We also have some new job postings at SIE that might imply the company is looking into non-endemic advertising? Uh oh. Then we have Capcom stoking the flames, they seem unfazed about the end of physical media. Aaaand elsewhere in the week we have a report that the global memory supply is all used up for 2027. THANKS AI. We also have news for Marvel Tokon, Beast of Reincarnation, GTA VI, FFVII Revelation, Halos PS5 sales, & God of Wars Amazon Prime Series. If we somehow get a Kratos meme similar to Drax being invisible, that would be amazing.

This week we had an interesting image show up on PlayStations backend. A new Cross-Buy tag! And its indeed very real. Is Sony preparing a new cross buy initiative for PS5 and PC? Only time will tell. We also had some PS Store news with Sony accepting refunds for the Mortal Kombat Kollection, and evidence of dynamic pricing appearing again. This week we also had the big PlayStation Portal 6.00 update, letting us stream any digitally owned PS5 game! Then theres also the AI boom going on. Between EA and Square-Enix, things are not looking good. We also have some PS VR2 game announcements, aaaand GTA VI was delayed again. Not all too surprising there. But hey, at least we had a great segway for PS3s AGENT. Any excuse to show footage of Jack Tretton. Good ol Jackie Tretton. Those were the days..

Its our first full week of PlayStation announcing the end of physical disc games and theyve finally broken their silence. They are indeed completely ignoring the controversy (for now, at least). There is some INTENSE fan pushback with cancelling PS Plus, online petitions, and even politicians are joining in. To make the week worse, we saw Microsoft announce some shocking layoffs to the XBOX division. 3,200 jobs! Studios being spun off, and some of them now a shell of their former selves? Theres a lot of unknowns happening right now. And theres a lot of unowns in the Johto region. But some of you already knew that.
