Going out with a BANG indeed, we are proud to present the graduation performance of the PS22 Chorus of 2021! This video was a TON of work to put together for both the kids and their director (particularly while filming under co-vid restrictions and without Ms. Lisa 😢), but that work paid off some serious sonic AND visual dividends!! Every one of the 28 (!!!) kids that you see in the video gave it their all and then some, somehow managing to make a lasting impression after only a month of working together. This performance alone is more than sufficient to secure their place in PS22 Chorus history! (But don't worry, there's still more to come from these guys....)
Third grader Nathan suggested this song by our friends AJR (whom we had the pleasure of jamming with back in 2019), and immediately we knew it was the perfect tune to celebrate our graduates! The rip-roaring fun the chorus brings to the show is contrasted by the exquisite trio of Olivia, Ashlee, and Matthew (in order of appearance) who will surely be melting many hearts with their beautiful three-part harmony on the bridge.
I know you will join me in wishing these kids the very best of luck in the future, and agree that with the amount of energy, talent, charisma, and commitment they've shown in their short time together, they won't even need it! Congratulations kiddos!!! Honored and grateful for our time together....
