It may not be your birthday today, but regardless, "there is a gift I can give you...." Anyone who has been following the PS22 Chorus for a reasonable amount of time knows how much we adore covering the brilliant @toriamos. But from the opening line of "Birthday Baby," her new album's closer ("This year you survived through it all, a cosmic apocalypse, a stab to the heart"), we knew this song was a perfect fit with this year's theme of healing at PS22. A very tricky tune indeed - even the unison parts were difficult. However I dare say the kids are not only up to the task, they are task-masters! 😁
*The footage of Tori is her reaction from when the PS22 Chorus sang to her back in 2007, melting her heart quite visibly and unforgettably. Still the proudest moment of my life, and it seemed right to include it in this little production....
