Modeling of the Prussian Model 1850 Cavalry Pistol. This firearm was a simple percussion pistol chambered in approximately .60 caliber. It's cap-lock mechanism and side-plate bear a close resemblance to those found on older Prussian Potzdam Muskets. The inclusion of a safety mechanism over the nipple is likely a remnant of the conversion from flintlock to percussion, as the safety occupies the same screw that previously held the steel frizzen. These would have been issued to Prussia's light cavalry units, notably hussars and dragoons, from 1850 onwards.

This model was designed in Blender 4.1.1. in the 1/35 scale. Total modeling time came in at 4 hours and 7 minutes.
