Dramatic footage shows hundreds of protesters storming Mexico's Senate on Tuesday.

A mob broke down the doors of the Senate building and forced their way into the upper house’s session hall prompting evacuations and forcing the session to be halted temporarily.

The crowd occupied the Senate chamber, waving Mexican flags and chanting.

The protesters are angry about a controversial judicial reform plan that would allow Mexican voters to elect judges at all levels.
