Protect Yourself from Cyclosporiasis - Here’s How:

Cyclosporiasis is caused by the Cyclospora parasite, often found in contaminated food or water.

🛡️ To stay safe, follow these simple steps:

- Wash your hands with soap and water before and after handling fresh fruits and veggies

- Rinse produce thoroughly under running water - fruits labeled “prewashed” are ready to eat, but scrub firm ones like melons or cucumbers

- Refrigerate cut, peeled, or cooked produce within two hours to prevent bacterial growth

- When traveling, drink bottled or boiled water and eat only fully cooked or peeled foods

Stay informed and prioritize food safety to protect yourself and your loved ones.
