- All adults should get tested for hepatitis B and hepatitis C at least once in their lifetime.
- Pregnant people should get tested during each pregnancy.
- Vaccines are the best way to protect yourself from hepatitis A and B.
- Hepatitis A can spread through eating or drinking something with the virus in it.
- Hepatitis B and C can spread by direct contact, including sex. You can also spread them by sharing bodily fluids or needles with infected blood.
- Hepatitis B and C can put you at risk for liver cancer.
