Today's proof of concept video I wanted to showcase playing a PS1 game thru SMB using OPL with cheats enabled.
To be honest, enabling the cheats was easy, and it was setting up the network part of it on the PS2 that took the longest in this whole setup.
More information to come in future tutorials. Just wanted to get this out there so gamers know what the possibilities are, and its not as hard as you think! Enjoy!

![MX4SIO - General Troubleshooting Tips and Tricks, and Game Compatibility Spreadsheet (2022)
Todays video is a quick list of some tips and tricks that I learned after making a couple adapters myself and/or research online. I am also the creator of the MX4SIO game compatibility spreadsheet that I initiated so all PS2 gamers can beneft and submit their gaming information related to the project.
If you are interested in purchasing an MX4SIO adapter rather than buy from a random online seller, email me at vstpower @ gmail dot com and I can help you out if I have any more in stock, thanks!
General tips and tricks:
1) If your games doesnt work, try using the official build of OPL v1.1.0, or one of the beta builds.
2) Only BDM3 OPL build has save game support at this time, not the official versions of OPL.
3) If your adapter is good, then check the pins on your memory slot reader. If there is not enough contact pressure, then you may have issues with the PS2 recognizing your MX4SIO card.
4) Make sure games are not fragmented! Format the SD/microsd card as fat32, then copy your games from PC to the adapter to minimize game playing issues.
5) Enabling Pademu in global setting may help certain games work.
6) If the beta version of OPL doesnt run, then first run OPL v1.1.0 first, and then the beta version second. If the memory card in slot 1 has two OPL folders, delete the OPL folder that has only 1 file in it.
More tips will be added in the future!

Todays tutorial was per subscriber request. I will show you how to use OPL and list your PSX games from popstarter and play them!
The reason why this is cool is you can use OPL to manage both your PS2 and PS1 game collection!
Tip: Make sure in OPL settings that USB (or HDD/ETH) is set to AUTO. APPS and ELF Loader Menu needs to be set to AUTO too!
Important note as of 11/11/17: In the latest version (OPL r1030 v2) and above the filename for the ELF list is renamed to conf_elmz.cfg

You cannot use SMB share for systems newer than Windows XP, so this is a neat workaround. Enjoy!

![[How To] Install Fat PS2 HDD Games With Cover Art Tutorial (2017)
Todays video combines two important topics into one video:
1) How to rename ISO files properly before transferring to PS2 hard drive using WinHIIP
2) How to properly rename the cover art files to work with the renamed games
The very short process is outlined below:
1) Get the ISO games and ART files named properly
2) Copy the ART folder to usb thumb drive/hard drive
3) Use UlaunchELF to copy the ART folder from USB into the OPL partition located on the internal fat ps2 hard drive.
4) Make sure OPL has the cover art option enabled
This video was created due to numerous requests by many viewers on how to add covert art to their internal hard drive. As you will quickly see, it isnt so bad!

![Product Demo - Playing PS2 Games Over SMB Share Using Raspberry Pi Zero W and 3a+
Todays video is a follow up video (not a tutorial) where previously I showed how to play PS2 games over SMB Share using raspberry pi 3b+ with the PS2, OPL, and FMCB.
Todays video showcases how well game playing works with the raspberry pi zero w and also the raspberry pi 3a+.
Is it overkill to do this? Probably. Is it fun and cool as hell? I think so! Anyway, if this isnt your cup of tea, thats totally fine as I know there are raspberry pi users out there who never knew this existed for their unused raspberry pis, so why not spread the knowledge around? Enjoy!

![PicoMemcard+ - Cheap DIY PS1 Memory Card With Infinite Saves Overview (2024, English)
In todays video I go over the PicoMemcard+ which is a DIY mod where you can make your own PS1 memory card with infinite saves when coupled with a microsd adapter.
In my case, Im using a raspberry pi pico with a pcb board to make the install a little bit cleaner, as opposed to cutting up an old PS1 memory card and putting it altogether. I 3d printed a case as well as got a microsd spi adapter interface so I can use microsd storage to save an infinite amount of ps1 memory cards.
The github has a lot of great info on how to source the parts and make your own. I have a few left over pcbs and pi picos, so if someone is interested, send me a message at vstpower at gmail.com, thanks!
