Have you ever wondered what those black NEA containers around your neighbourhood are? No need for alarm - these are Gravitraps!

They trap female mosquitoes looking for a place to lay their eggs, they providing valuable data on mosquito populations across the country. These data also help determine if our releases are effective in suppressing Aedes aegypti populations within our study sites.

We are pleased to share that Project Wolbachia has successfully suppressed up to 98% of dengue mosquito population in the study sites at Tampines, Yishun, Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Batok. (Hurray!)
