A case of mistaken identity – did you know that male mosquitoes are harmless and do not bite? In fact, male Wolbachia-Aedes mosquitoes help fight dengue! But be very wary of female mosquitoes – they can transmit diseases with their bites.
You are attractive to male mosquitoes only because they are looking for females near you to mate.
If you are staying in the Project Wolbachia study sites, you do not have to do anything differently. You may kill mosquitoes as you normally would.
