PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 and The Realm Of Water from Elementalism for DOOM II Hell On Earth by multiple authors on Ultra-Violence Difficulty level, Chaotic Random Spawn Preset, 100% Secrets Achieved. Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). The Water Realm of Elementalism is in my opinion a little bit harder than the Fire one, but I had to decrease a difficulty a bit because the monster count is way higher thus some areas are completely unplayable due to the perf issues. This episode has astonishing visuals with water, caves and sand being the main themes of this episode, there are also some custom water monsters added like Arachnobrains, Cthulhus, poisonous Imps and it might be all of these. Water Realm really loves to put you in quite dangerous situations because the movement might be limited in some places, for example in W4 when about to obtain a red key, you have multiple mini arenas where it's to get blocked by collisions. In overall lots of fights in this episode are gruesome, at the end of The Palace of Tears was a really difficult fight against two Cyberdemons in a long but tight corridor, in my opinion it's one of the hardest parts of this episode. The longest map to complete is W3 The Roots Of Weeping Mountain, it might take more than 30 minutes to finish and it has a total of 9 secrets to explore + multiple rooms where you have to find 3 keys scattered around a map to unlock an exit. First two maps might be a small start before next three maps, they are a lot shorter and smaller, however it does not mean that these have no tough fighting, The Sunken Temple is full of annoying encounters + it loves teleporting monsters, ouch. A Watery Grave which is a starting map has a total of seven secrets and rather easy map layout, not so difficult when compared to next maps and also has one annoying timed secrets with Berserk Pack behind a fake wall, there is only one chance to obtain it. I've been playing on the semi-continuous setting, it means that whenever you finish a level, ammunition for your high tier weapons like Energy Cells or Explosive Ordnance is taken away, just to increase a difficulty a bit :P. The final boss is an Pale Eyed King, a very difficult encounter where a final boss of this episode loves to summon even more monsters including Cyberdemons, also watch out for his ice spheres because they damage you incredibly fast.

PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 together with AUGER ZENITH Cyberpunk themed Megawad by various authors on the Man and a Half difficulty level, Chaotic Random spawn preset, 100% Secrets achieved. Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). Auger Zenith is a Megawad with 21 levels styled upon a Cyberpunk in mind, you might also notice some similarities to not-so-good Tekwar from Capstone, but this WAD is really good to play, details are beautiful. Levels are also not gigantic maps with several hundreds of monsters, so finishing levels might take from 10 to 15 minutes, some are even designed in such manner that you can just run through monsters and find an exit. Such example of level is 4th map called Meat Mincer, that is pretty straightforward with running from metro underground to a Shopping Mall, heck even secrets give you just Invulnerability Spheres to run unharmed. There is no real difficulty curve as harder levels are mixed together with those easier, for example first map might be quite problematic because of several ambushes and a fight at the end nearby the Helipad. The second level is short and sweet, a real breeze with just two secrets - in overall you have just 70 monsters and there is nothing too complicated, level might be finished in even less than five minutes. Third map seems to be the longest one from first five maps, it also has the biggest number of secrets - six, thankfully the map is not so large and some secrets are close to each other, also try to hunt for really small switches. The last level (5th) in Shopping Mall, gives you a lot of monsters to fight (there may be even more than 300 because of Pain Elementals and Arch-Viles), it also has a Boss fight at the end in place similar to the Dead Simple. You will notice that Ive also had to use noclip few times to reach some secret areas - its because of the compatibility issues, some objects have player collision set because of Project Brutality, otherwise you can simply ignore them. By the way - a lot of props have player collision issues, it is only a problem with compatibility, if you play this without Project Brutality, such things as flames, water etc. do not have collision and can be normally walked through.

DOOM II Hell Unleashed DEMO by MikeyScoots on the Ultra-Violence Difficulty Level with 100% Secrets Acquired (the secret with megamap is bugged as these are 3 secrets in one). This is a one level demo of the upcoming WAD with MAP04 Focus being currently available to play, and in my opinion this is a really great demo to try. The level takes over 20 minutes to play, you have to find 4 keys before an exit, you have lots of custom monsters with Nashgore and quite limited arsenal. The level is of course expanded a lot with lots of areas to explore and new OTEX texture set that comes with the WAD. We begin as always in a small room, when we open the first door, its stuck - but after a while it opens fully to give you a Pump-Action Shotgun. As we go further, suddenly all of the Zombies return from the dead and attack you - you are surrounded but with this new trusty shotgun you can fend off the attacks. You have two places to go - take a traditional route to get the blue keycard hidden in a hidden compartment or use a new elevator to reach a green keycard upstairs. This level also has ventilation shafts to take some shortcuts while playing this level and it is a fantastic addition. The yellow and red keycards need a quite longer routes with more traps and ambushes like sudden Hell Knight appearances or Fire Imps that throw even deadlier fireballs (but also explode nicely as a pile of meat). Some of the new monsters can be quite troublesome like the newly added Nailgunner who is quite resilient and also drops a Needle Grenade upon death just for trolling you and others. When you have all keys its time to exfiltrate and leave the area to reach the Waste Tunnels :).

DOOM 2 Recreation Project is an 8 level long WAD that recreates DOOM II levels by expanding them and adding some rooms to them, plus as you can see in them MAP13 Downtown, its not as bad as it was before. First map is slightly expanded with adding a two new rooms, keeping the secrets as same as before, the level is also slightly more difficult but in overall its in my opinion still a vanilla style easy first level. The Underhalls are pretty much the same as before with little additions to the level, but its also a first time with added Hell Knights such early in the game to face it. Third map is slightly changed with adding some nice texture work to it + a switch to open the place to Megaarmor, a quite fast level but also might be difficult due to more monsters than before. The Focus is greatly expanded with adding some new rooms plus a path for obtaining the blue keycard is way longer than before, plus its a really dark level so flashlight addon might be recommended. Waste Tunnels its another slightly changed and expanded map, it also changes few secrets a little bit, the level might also feel harder than before but it might be just my prejudice. The Crusher however is probably the most changed level so far with many changed areas and new rooms, completely different outdoor area in parking lot and a quite bit different final of this level. Downtown being probably one of the frustrating and confusing levels of DOOM 2 has a nice look overhaul, map resembles more a residential area than before with adding some offices, bathrooms and stores to explore. And of course, Icon of Sin at the end of this demo, just destroy it for good till it dies.
