PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 and Irkalla episode of Inferno by Stormwatcher and various authors for DOOM II Hell On Earth, Chaotic Random Spawn Preset on Man And A Half Difficulty Level with 100% Secrets Achieved. Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). Irkalla is a pretty much long WAD in some places like E3M4 and E3M5 where levels are way longer than their counterparts, it also increases a difficulty by adding simply more monsters, with those from DOOM 2 too. The first level (Hell Keep replacement) already shows you how difficult this WAD might be to you if you expect vanilla like experience, your first enemy already is noone else but the Cyberdemon itself, yikes. Thankfully you do not have to kill that Cyberdemon using your weak starting weaponry, all you have to do is to telefrag it (like it was in E4M2), but take it as a sign what you might encounter while playing it. In first minutes you will already encounter mid tier monsters like Revenants or Hell Knights, traditionally try to gather as many secrets as possible because you surely need some armor and a Rocket Launcher. Once first level ends, it's time to visit unpopular Slough of Despair but of course this time the level is enlarged but the maze like caves are still present, of course with a bit increased difficulty. The map can be quite confusing (as the original was) but after some going from place to place with keyhunting you will reach the end, as before look for the precious secrets and watch out for an Archvile at the end. Third level is enlarged Pandemonium with a way better Hellish twist than before, seems like you are inside a hellish monsters or the monster tries to consume the place, anyway watch out for the acids and lava. The E3M4 is surely a quite long and difficult level, not gonna lie - this is where the difficulty curve spikes suddenly, as there are way more monsters than before (twice more) and their placement is challenging. A first map where ambushes are really frequent and map basically forces you to watch out for lava, plus rooms are full oh mid-high tier monsters ready to be teleported just nearby you to fight.

Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). The Martian Fury is a greatly expanded remake of the Knee Deep in The Dead Episode from The Ultimate Doom, because it has DOOM 2 Monsters and Super Shotgun spawn, you need to launch it with DOOM 2 WAD instead of Ultimate Doom. Levels are greatly detailed with lots of decorations plus with added extra climax to the place that has just been invaded by forces of Hell, while first levels are greatly expanded techbase levels, it is going to change bit later. While in Knee Deep in the Dead Hells presence was barely noticed in the levels layout and architecture, in Martian Fury the more and more you walk across the levels, you are going to notice a slight change in textures and climax. The second half of the Martian Fury episode is slowly going to resemble The Shores of Hell episode, hellish marks and textures are scattered around the levels, it seems that UAC had been conducting some experiments too. The Alpha Labs (bases on E1M5 Phobos Lab) is a real UAC Laboratory set on Mars, but it has been also devoured by the forces of hell, you are going to meet some hybrids here like Revenants and even the Arachnotrons, first time to pick the Plasma Rifle. Yep, because this is a major remake of first episode based on DOOM 2 WAD, you are given a way better arsenal at your disposal than previously, plus the levels are way more difficult with traps being a normal thing. Keep in mind, because its a remake of first Episode it does not mean that the levels are played the same as before, some places might give you a headache because of the complexity, but in overall the longest map might take between 15 to 20 minutes. If you want to know is it important to get all the secrets, the answer is shortly yes because you are going to need these bonuses a lot because levels are more difficult than the vanilla, get them as many as possible. A great touch up of this episode is the ending - the portal to the next episode is basically a techbase mirror of the portal in the next episode, but of course portal on Deimos is just a pure hell.

LITDOOM 0.59b and Primary Excavation Site from DOOM 3 by Fenes Octavian, LiTDoom can be described as a survival themed fork of Brutal DOOM, 100% Secrets achieved on Lone Marine difficulty level. LiTDoom is a highly customizable DOOM gameplay mod where we can play as one of the four available classes - DOOM Marine, Survivalist, Scientist and partially hidden Doomguy class that is the most casual one to play. This time I play as a Doomguy that can be easily described as the CASUL class because he has no penalty to the stamina while running, cannot bleed to death like other classes and simply has no weaknesses like others. If you cannot find DOOMGUY class in the menu, do not worry because its hidden in the options - you even have a nice description why this class is way more powerful when compared to others with warning that this class is CASUL. Primary Excavation Site is a medium to large scaled map with over 300 monsters available, while playing with LITDOOM this map of course becomes more difficult than before, especially the beginning might be problematic for you. Level has a total of TWELVE secrets and trust me that you need most of them because there are lots of cool weapons for you available, soulspheres, megaarmors and even invincibility sphere to be found in a large area full of monsters. With LITDOOM its even more valuable because look how fantastic weapons Ive found in the secret sectors of this level, Plasma Rifle & Railgun - both of them are extremely powerful additions to your arsenal. Plasma Rifle holds 50 cells in its magazine and can be aimed with ADS, a fully automatic weapon with really high damage but do not use it at full-auto without cooling down because weapon will simply explode in your hands. Railgun also has 50 cells in the magazine and uses 10 cells per shot, can be aimed with light amplifier scope, you can charge the shot up to the 50 cells but be aware because Railgun can be dismantled with this ability. To finish the map you need to collect three keys scattered around different places, a lot of the rooms on map are optional and do not have to be visited but they also give you shortcut possibilities like that depot with invincibility sphere. There are lots of places however where combat is really challenging especially at the beginning when you are low on ammo and weapons, first few minutes of this level are crucial... just enough to survive, then it gets easier.

BRUTAL DOOM SCHISM 096 together with HontE Remastered Experimental for DOOM 2 by ku6epyxobeptka on the Red-Waltz Difficulty level with achieving 100% Secrets. Long time without Brutal Doom Schism, if you remember this is a mod where you have 3 classes to choose (4th is a work in progress and rather not playable), these are the Doom Marine, Paladin and Sorcerer, each has its own strengths and weakness. Marine is the only class that can use all types of weapons found during the game but has no special abilities, you can arm yourself with such weapons as Railguns, Plasma Rifles, BFGs, Rotary Shotguns, Heavy Machine Guns, Shotvolers and so. Paladin is a tank class that starts with increased damage reduction when you activate a passive spell during the game, he also has swords, axes and hammers at his disposal, his melee attacks are strong but also cannot wield lots of weapons. Sorcerer is the only class that has multiple spells to use, he can teleport, can cast lightning, pyromancy and cryomancy in multiple ways, has his own book of spells, you can summon deadly Scimitars but you are also incredibly fragile with basic weaponry. Schism when compared to the Brutal Doom has also slightly expanded beastiary, there are some Imps with cybernetic implants, Zombie Scientists, Chainsaw Zombies, Mecha Barons of Hell, Heavy Commando and perhaps more annoying monsters. Hell On The Earth Remastered is probably a known mappack for some of you, but did you know that there had been an update lately just before an end of 2021 with slight changes such as lighting sources, new maps and more details to existing maps? Ive also included the PBR (Reflective) textures and High Definition Textures, the performance drops are not as big as I feared, probably also because its played with Brutal Doom Schism that is not badly optimized with medium-big maps. The maps aint that difficult with Schism but of course you must consider some things such as more monsters than in the vanilla, slightly changed secret triggers plus new to explore and even deadlier ambushes, some can take you off guard. Remember that you cant keep all the weapons all the time, you must drop some of them before picking up others - for example in Slot 4 and 6 you can have only two weapons at once while there are four and three weapons for these slots respectively. Also please check the Davester2296 channel on Youtube, this is by far one of the best DOOM/Duke Nukem remixers Ive found and he also made his Music WAD - link in the description below.

Brutal Doom v21 and a Brutal Ballistics addon by 1ndig0 together with The Flesh Pits WAD by United VirusX on the Ultra-Violence difficulty level, 100% Secrets achieved. Brutal Doom Ballistics is an interesting addon for a Brutal Doom v21 and it only weighs around 17MB, unfortunately it has not been updated for some time but it might be an intersesting choice for you. First, all of the single wielded weapons are no longer centered but seen from the right angle, this means that in case of projectile weapons you must get used a little because you might miss if you are used to centered sprites. Second, some of the weapons had been completely changed in both visuals and a little bit in case of functionality, your starting pistol has now a fully automatic second mode that depletes 16 bullets quite quickly though. Your Assault Rifle received an underbarrel grenade launcher opposite to the vanilla Brutal Doom (not seen in the video because there are no Zombies on map), but you must change fire modes between rounds and grenades. The Rocket Launcher received a completely new sprite not similar to anything before, now it holds 6+1 rockets inside when reloaded, its also way faster with its rate of fire, really deadly and useful weapon to have loaded. Next is the Plasma Rifle that instead of a spread shot alternate attack as before releases a slowly moving ball of plasma at enemies, it also uses an SFX of Westinghouse Phased Plasma Rifle in the 40 Watt Range. Railgun is a weapon with a completely new sprite, its scope has two modes - a traditional and amplified (just think of amplified night vision), highly damaging and always aim for the headshots because of the damage. The BFG received a lot of changes in terms of functionality, first you must charge the attack before releasing the slowly moving projectile and it might take some time, alternate fire is a plasma beam that obliterates anything on its path. Opposite to the vanilla Brutal Doom some weapons are missing as you will not find an Assault Shotgun, Machine Gun, Grenade Launcher, BFG11K or the Unmaker in the arsenal, maybe author will come back to the addon after this :P. You might also notice that enemies tend to stall a lot once they take a lot of damage, in such stance they are about to die - in case of Pain Elementals they will simply explode and release more Lost Souls.

PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 and The Earth Realm + Final Boss from Elementalism for DOOM II Hell On Earth by multiple authors on Ultra-Violence Difficulty level, Chaotic Random Spawn Preset, 100% Secrets Achieved. Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). The Final Chapter of Elementalism in this playthrough is the Realm of Earth, in my opinion this is the shortest one when compared to the Fire or Water Realms, but also has one of the largest open maps available to play. First two levels in the Earth Realm are short and fun, both can take between 15 to 20 minutes to finish, they are also not too difficult because the highest tier monsters are scarce, they appear at the end of the second map. But the real fun begins once you reach the third level, since then you must prepare yourself for lots of quite annoying ambushes and more and more tougher monsters that are going to simply vaporize you, including those custom in Earth Realm. The wide open areas are surely a match for your hardware, if there are way too many monsters spawned (especially in the penultimate map), simply lower down the difficulty because 1000+ Monsters with large map + Project Brutality is a lot. Third level begins not too difficult in open area where you must find an elevator to some sort of temple in the caves, once inside you must find two skull keys (Blue and Red), but be careful because rooms there are small and full of traps. You are also going to encounter that flying Stone Golem custom enemy from BLOOD, it deals a lot of damage (like Stone Demons) and they are quite a priority to put them down as soon as possible, they are also quite annoying too. Once you activate a teleporter, grab a Yellow Skull Key and head down - but surprise, previously vast and open area is full of demons, fight your way back to the elevator and open the locked doors to enter The Fallen City of Hedania. And oh boy, you will love or simply hate this map just because of its size and quantity of monsters - on the highest difficulty level there are 1000 and more of them, fight your way till reaching the last elevator in the caves. KEEP IN MIND that I collected in previous playthroughs all symbols from the fallen Fire & Water Bosses respectively, thus when I defeated the God Parasite I have to face a final final boss of this WAD - The Herald of The Apocalypse!

PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 together with Vow of Vengeance WAD by Bri on the Man and a Half difficulty level, Chaotic Random spawn preset, 100% Secrets achieved. Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). Vow of Vengeance is a beautiful and quick WAD that consists five quite difficult levels to complete, most of them take less than 10 minutes to be finished, but oh boy they can really be troublesome for you to play. First of all, maps basically throw at you the toughest monsters in the really difficult situations in not always so open spaces where your movement is restricted, it is advised to simply run and shoot whenever possible. Second it is quite mandatory for you to grab as many secrets as possible to simply survive - first level has Megaarmor, Plasma Rifle, BFG and Soulsphere hidden in secret areas, without them level is way harder to be completed. As expected, when you have almost nothing to start with but your Assault Rifle and Pistol, you must find as many great weapons as possible, I had tons of luck to grab basic BFG in the first level instead of cursed BH Generator. Same goes with the addon weapons Ive loaded to play with - Commander Shotgun that has multiple ammunition types including the white phosphorus and explosive (but not found by me), Paingiver with homing missiles and good old reliable HMG. Heavy Machine Gun is a god-like weapon because its a fast firing weapon using common rounds, with 80 of them in drum you will wreck damage to anything in your path, with Quad Damage you can easily take down even a Cyberdemon (tested). Paingiver is one of best weapon addons so far Ive played, it does not have to be reloaded at all and its alternate fire mode shoots 3 missiles in rapid succession, homing to a crazy extent, just remember to fire it in open areas. This mappack surely demands from you using a Plasma Weapons like Rifle of BFG lots of times, same goes with sending rockets at monsters, lots of areas throw dozens of them at you, scoring 40+ kills in few seconds is not something rare. The final level surely needs a pretty good rig, because its a large open area map with 350+ monsters at the same time, you can eliminate half of them in first two minutes, also remember that first secret is to be grabbed instantly.
