Many women wrongly think or are told that they can’t tolerate progesterone. But have they actually been prescribed natural, bioidentical progesterone, or have they had side effects from synthetic progestogens? There is a huge difference and synthetic progestogens in contraceptives can actually block the actions of progesterone working in the body.

In this week’s podcast, Jenny shares how nervous she was to try bioidentical progesterone after years of believing it would make her symptoms worse, but the reality was it was life changing for her.

It’s an important reminder that progesterone and synthetic progestogens are not the same, and that all hormones - including progesterone - still usually matter to the body and brain after a hysterectomy.
