On April 6th, we celebrated the 80th birthday of Professor Kuppuswamy Anantha Padmanabhan and his distinguished contributions to science. To mark the occasion, Professor Harry Bhadeshia of Queen Mary University of London delivered a narrative on Padmanabhan's academic nurture at Cambridge University and a lecture on extreme ductility in metals.
