Professor Klaus Larres (UNC) talks with Counselor Vugar Gurbanov, Acting Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Azerbaijan, about economic and political competition in Eurasia.
Mr. Gurbanov is a Political Counselor and Acting Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the United States. He is a career diplomat who joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2005. For more than ten years at the Foreign Ministry, Mr. Gurbanov worked on a number of important issues dealing with Azerbaijan’s national security policy.
