Whenever you L cancel you should be only lightly tapping the trigger vs pressing it all the way. If you hard press your L cancels you are also burning out your tech input.

Took me way too long to learn this and lots of players I talk to still don't know about it so I figured I'd make a video explanation. Enjoy
