mrmattandmrchay | Pripyat (Chernobyl) - 16 FLOOR APARTMENT ELEVATORS (1) @mrmattandmrchay | Uploaded November 2017 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
Here is the first part of a journey trip to the top of a 16 floor apartment. Of course, it's only the elevators that "really" interest me.
Interesting how everything is done for simplicity. A large elevator for large items, the small elevator just for passengers.
Notice the individual connection junction boxes on every floor. Simple elevator design, effective, but I think that other manufacturers would be quicker to fault find than these.
Lots of relays, lots of junction boxes, lots of fault finding in the shaft.
(Apologies for the heavy breathing. I was trying not to breath into the microphone right in front of my face, but you try running up 16 flights of stairs with camera equipment and not get out of breath :)
----------
I'm not here to bring you the usual videos of Chernobyl, as there are plenty on youtube.
Only the bits that interest me (and hopefully you!) get uploaded. Mainly, these are the abandoned buildings containing OLD ELEVATORS.
See Part 1 below for an introduction to my Chernobyl videos:
