mrmattandmrchay | Carstairs village SIREN - The State Hospital siren hunt (Siren G) @mrmattandmrchay | Uploaded May 2019 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
This video features the CARSTAIRS main siren in the village centre.
I didn't film much of this one as there were bushes all around it and the best viewing angle was probably the one that I filmed it from.
WHAT'S LEFT? Siren H and I.
AND... I've saved the best "siren sounding video" to last! (it won't be uploaded last though!)
WELCOME TO THE NEW SIREN HUNT! See the first video (Siren A) for a full description about these sirens.
Thanks for watching!
WHY ARE THERE ESCAPE SIRENS?
There are nine sirens installed in surrounding towns and villages of The State Hospital of Carstairs. The sirens warn residents of a missing person from the hospital (or a possible escapee). Persons should remain in their homes and keep their children supervised. Schools have their own procedures, which is where a few of the sirens are located.
Patients at this psychiatric hospital are generally dangerous people who need specialist treatment and would be a danger to the public if they were treated in a standard hospital.
