On November 12, 2025, Ontario Ombudsman Paul Dubé held an International Symposium on Ombudsman Principles and Practices - part of a series of events marking his Office's 50th anniversary, a milestone that invites celebration and reflection on five decades of service to the people of Ontario.

Moderated by Montréal Ombudsman (and acting International Ombudsman Institute President) Nadine Mailloux, the panel discussions focused on two top-of-mind topics:
