Villain batting Kael'Thas was something that literally came out of nowhere as this was a hero from Warcraft 3. Selfless, only caring about his kingdom but suddenly in TBC he was a power hungry bad guy that did a 180. Blizzard did regret this decisions and in Shadowlands they had by the end almost fully redeemed him in Revendreth. Now characters that were way worse villains like Sylvanas have been confirmed to actually return in Midnight and we learned recently that Shadowlands was a scam, it's literally just a realm that you can go back and forth with. However to go back you need new energy and if something has energy that is the Sunwell. In a recent interview they hinted that an unexpected character is going to emerge from the Sunwell soon. So is Kael'Thas returning, could we see his redemption arc and could this be the new leader of the elves?
