This primitive clay pottery project took place over one week. The first-day clay was collected and cleaned. Then grog was added using the fired pottery from my previous attempt. Finally, the coiling method was used to create a bowl. I returned home with the project to allow it time to dry inside a vegetable ziplock bag over five days. No cracks formed. I returned to the same location on the following weekend with the dried clay pot to fire it in a campfire and complete this video. The bow drill friction fire kit featured in this video was made using dead willow wood.
