Brad is still hammering away at the shorebirds and during a particular outing to one of his favorite locations he was reminded of the importance of changing positions and seeking out different angles to keep the same spots feeling fresh.
Ray & Emilie got to visit Gary Farber from Hunt’s Photo and Video along with Maceo Susi just outside of Boston at Horn Pond and do a bit of shooting. Then Ray drove to Long Eddy, New York where Emilie has family and used to spend some childhood summers. Ray did some hiking, biking, and a tiny bit of photography. Ray has also been working hard on making short video tips to be shared weekly.
The guys share some near gear announcements from Nikon, Ray bought a couple of new lenses, and there is a firmware update to the Nikon 400mm f/2.8 TC VR-S. Next they talk about some teaser photos from the Wildlife Photographer of the Year contest then ask a fun hypothetical question about using only manual focus or shooting in single shot.
The show wraps up with their choices for the weekly #wildlifephotochatchallenge with a theme of non-bird wildlife.
