Original description of the older episode 4:

A lot of the artistic choices I made with this episode are reflections of my childhood nostalgia. When I first made the earlier episodes, I was living in a different city than I do now. The South Hill Mall, which has always been the canonical setting of PGNS, was a place I frequented, especially as a child. I no longer live anywhere near this place, and it all feels like a very distant memory now. It gives a sense of eeriness to me, seeing the pictures of the real place up against these stupid cartoon characters, but maybe that’s just me, seeing as these pictures are experiences I’ve lived.
So anyways yeah I just wanted to give PGNS a bit of an *off* vibe in the earlier episodes but it’s just like, you can’t put your finger on what’s going to go wrong.
That’s also tge purpose of the new Sobuki and Sobashi scene I added :)
