You ever work on something so long you get to watch yourself grow up through it?
This video isn’t really like the other anniversary videos and I didn’t want it to be. For one I just didn’t feel like busting out my camera to record. But it also lacks my typical “yearly newsletter” segment after the little cute edit I made.
PGNS is almost done and with the fact that I turned 18 last year, I wanted this to be more of a “saying goodbye to my childhood” type of thing. PGNS was the show I made as an adolescent. The revamp, in a way, is sort of like a send off to the past. Saying “you did good, let me polish that a bit for you before you go”.
A lot can happen in 5 years. My parents split, I moved across the state, changed houses several times. My dad got remarried, I made new friends, I lost some others, I loved and I lost and I went through heartbreak. I graduated middle school and high school during the production of this series, and now I’m off to university. My perspectives on life have changed so much in that time.
The gaps between episodes often had a lot to do with these things, but it was always there waiting for me after I went through some bullshit. And you guys were very patient with me too.
But after spending 5 years locking myself in my room to draw catgirls, putting off hang outs and fail actual classes over it… what do I do when its over?
