Its been a while since Ive done a Patreon request and I was more than happy to take this one on since Ive been playing Nier: Replicant a good amount since it came out. I actually was also inspired by FalKKonEs cover of this song after hearing it on my Spotify discover weekly playlist and it was instantly stuck in my head and I had my own ideas of how to take it on. It actually came as a later arrangement idea to play the first half on classical guitar, the original idea being a lead guitar choral thing like I did for my last Rise of Nations cover. I think it was nice to break out the classical guitar again.
I did the filming for this video myself, similiar to how I did God of the Dead from Hades. Its so cool getting to have the human element of handicam for these videos, but its tough getting that for each week, so I may be moving toward this method in the future while trying to find ways of achieveing the music video style in a way I can just do solo. I hope it was still engaging and fun to watch! This was a monumental arrangement so I really do hope you enjoy listening.
It was my birthday last Friday! This is my first guitar cover as a 30 year old boychild. Ill tell you what, I did NOT expect to still be doing this into my 30s when I started at the age of 19. Someone buy me a video game themed coffin as Im one step in the grave now. ☠

As many have been able to pick up from my subscribers, Ive been on a every other cover being FNF schedule. Its been very good outreach for the channel and Im glad to see so many new watchers, but its important for me to continue my usual MO as much as possible so dont worry if you arent a fan of FNF every other week, Ill be continuing to cover songs from other games that I love.
That being said, Im so glad theres so much excitement for this soundtrack because I love it so much, and its so much fun to try and learn on guitar. Jack and I have been really working hard to bring this soundtrack to life with guitar and were constantly challenged with it at the same rate as its rewarding to hear back after everything is tracked and mixed. The melodies serve metal mixes incredibly well.
That being said, this was absolutely the most difficult out of all of the FNF songs thus far. Jack and I jokes that Kawai Sprite must have written this one after seeing covers of MlLF and was just like whats the coolest sounding stuff that would be impossible to play on guitar just to mess with us. Im sure that wasnt the case, but regardless we did our best!
Ill see you guys next week with something completely different, but Im sure you guys know what comes next after that. :)

I asked a few weeks ago what everyone was playing in a YouTube community poll and I was suprised that the most popular answer didnt seem to be one of the ones I thought of for the options. SO many of you guys were excited to share that you were enjoying Persona 5 Strikers and it got me excited to pick it up for myself. It was very soon after that caseyHD01 in the Patreon Request channel said to check this one out and that opening guitar lick had me hooked instantly. I was also very happy that I didnt have to get far at all in P5S to hear this song for the first time so I could really get a feel of its energy before diving in.
However, I underestimated this one and it took me almost twice as long to finish this cover than my usual due to its intense arrangement, many parts, and getting the mix and master just right for it to feel good for its release. I originally wanted to get a singer on it, but was glad that didnt work out because it was hard enough just getting the instrumental together and it almost didnt even get done in time. I actually worked so hard on this my sleep schedule turned over and corrected itself! Very excited to finally have this out for you guys and hope you enjoy!
