A City Councilman filed a lawsuit to silence criticism of how he was doing his job. He lost on First Amendment and protected speech issues. While we were covering his loss and the attorneys fees he is now ordered to pay, a city security guard ordered me to sit down and demanded my press pass, while letting TV news crews with cameras walk freely into a back room during a public meeting, on election day.
