Following Americas historic election, well-wishers flocked to the Lincoln Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, DC to sign a wall of support for President-elect Barack Obama. The Lincoln Memorial holds special meaning for the civil rights movement, not only because it honors President Abraham Lincoln, but also because it was the site of a famous civil rights rally where Martin Luther King gave his memorable I have a dream speech. The mood in Washington has changed to one of hope and the city is busy preparing for Obamas inauguration in January. The 1600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House is under construction to build reviewing stands. I shot footage today at the White House and hope to upload a video later this week.
