Union labor has been universally faulted by conservative Republican politicians and pundits for the failings of American automotive manufacturing. Now we know that the U.S. is in the middle of a world economic crisis and all auto manufacturers are affected worldwide even Toyota. If we had listened to GOP leaders, a key American industry would have been irreparably harmed just so Republicans could achieve their goal to break the unions. Why do they hate American labor at all cost? Conservative, Reagan-era trickle-down economic policies and principles are largely responsible for the current world crisis. Conservatives always favor big business and the elite over accountability and government oversight. Republicans have little to offer and should hide in shame.
