Good morning, friends, and welcome back. I’m starting off my Christmas videos by just taking you along for a little bit of the cozy around the house because I know if you love Christmas like I do, you probably enjoy seeing how other people decorate too. After that, we get into one of my favorite things, making homemade gifts. This year I’m putting together Christmas morning baskets for my girlfriends, and we’re making a canned mimosa mix together. I share what I’m using, how I’m canning it in my steam canner, and how I’m planning to bundle everything up. Along the way I chat about a homemakers swap party, creative gift ideas, and all the little ways we can show love this season. I hope it gives you some inspiration and maybe just feels like sitting and visiting for a bit.

Recipe:
Canned Mimosa Mix (Small Batch)
Yield: 2 quarts
Method: Water bath canning using a steam canner
Ingredients per quart:
2 cups orange juice
Lemonade to fill jar
About 1/4 cup whole cranberries (per jar)
4 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
Directions:
Rinse cranberries and divide evenly between clean quart jars.
Add 2 cups orange juice to each jar.
Top off with lemonade, leaving about 1 inch headspace.
Add 4 tablespoons sugar to each quart.
Wipe rims, apply lids, and tighten finger tight.
Place jars in steam canner starting cold jars in a cold canner.
Process for 20 minutes once proper steam is reached (under 1,000 ft elevation).
Remove jars and let cool. Check seals before storing.
To serve:
Chill, then mix with Prosecco or sparkling wine for Christmas morning mimosas.
