A tribute to the pre-code films of the charming, talented and lovely Marion Davies (1897 - 1961). Although she is often (unjustly) remembered only as the mistress of newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, Davies had a successful career in silent and early sound films. She was a gifted comedienne and had chops as a dramatic actress as well. Davies was also hard-working and very well-liked. The very cute song, "My Old Girl's My New Girl Now" by Smith Ballew with Meyer Davis' Swanee Synopaters, recorded in 1928, is the background music.
