UNRELEASED RECORDING
Recorded to cassette at Studio 64, Middlesbrough December 29th 1996 at approx 1am in the morning. Completely un-edited barring beginning and ending.

The first track recorded at an early session of the group which over the next couple of years would evolve into and eventually be perfectly named The Prestidigitators after a track on Naked City 'Torture Garden' album (Gillham's undisputed favourite album of all time since day of purchase in '91 not long after release)

This is from one of the many recordings which exist. Only a small number have ever been released. All master tapes and any/all other archive recordings are currently being digitised and several releases are planned.
Jonny = Jonny Sugden - a friend from Spennymoor Co. Durham where I grew up (and my parents still live) and guitarist of Blessed Realm my brother's Doom Rock/Metal band at the time. This was the first of many Experimental sessions we did together from 1997-2000. I'm particularly fond of this one as it was so spur of the moment after getting stoned listening to Skullflower and Total all night and being inspired by tracks like youtu.be/ojLLesU6kKk We turned up at the studio as it was closing hoping to do an overnight session and thankfully Nathan let us in for FREE as he owed me a favour, loaned us any gear we needed (including his gorgeous SG guitar) and basically just said make sure the door is shut behind you when you leave which we did at 7am in the morning with our ears completely ringing and both stoned to fuck but satisfied and looking forward to listening to what we had recorded. No sections of the recording have ever been released. We each have a copy but no private copies made for friends. No-one has even heard it barring my old housemate and a friend (hello Rob Holden & Rob Kito!).
